Celebrating Navigating the Storms! Four years and counting! In March 2015, I began building Navigating the Storms. I envisioned more than just a blog as my purpose was to include information for and about invisibly disabled people, but I thought it would be small. However, it grew and grew!
So along with celebrating, it’s evaluation time. I really need to get your feedback about what you like and don't like. Have you received any help from this info or the posts? Are there subjects that have been ignored or too many included? Please see survey below.
Back story

Navigating the Storms is a place for those with chronic life-limiting conditions where they can find helps and encouragement. And a place where caring friends can learn about our lives.
NTS was born of my own sense of isolation. Since my strength and endurance are severely limited, my social interaction with others is restricted. Family, some friends, and Church once a week constitute my social dealings. I long for meaningful contact with other people, too.
From this longing came the realization that there must be more people out there like me. People who can’t be involved in normal life because of physical limitations; who live with pain and weakness; who feel lonely; who need connections with a real, live person. My original intent was to find ways to connect with others who might also be feeling isolated. Since that hasn’t worked, I have decided to make it a repository of information both for the invisibly disabled and for compassionate friends so they can learn more about us.
Your Place?
If you are a dweller, have you wished for such a place?
If you are an observer, have you wondered why a family member, coworker, or friend who looks healthy just doesn't participate in life?
Answer yes to either of those questions? Navigating the Storms is for you. A place for the dweller (one who lives in storms) to find encouragement. A place for the observer (someone looking into the storms from the outside) to learn more about us.
If you are new to Navigating the Storms or are a returning visitor, please take a few minutes to fill out the survey. We really need your help in evaluating how we have done and what we need to change in order to best help you.

Time's up
In Closing
I've enjoyed the last four years even though designing this site and writing the posts have sometimes stretched me to the max. It is my hope that you have enjoyed the information and images here. I pray that you have found encouragement. And that you have learned something about the lives of the invisibly disabled. We have enjoyed celebrating Navigating the Storms with you today.
