It’s the fifth Friday of January. I decided last year to use a fifth Friday for whatever caught my fancy.
However, this month I find myself stressed out with too much to do for my available strength. My husband and I are working diligently to finish a huge project. So, this week, I decided to take my own advice from the last post. We are in an unavoidable situation, so I evaluated and decided this post would have to be cut short. Therefore, even though this is not a “Sick Day” post, I cannot write a full article. And my stress has truly been lowered. Hopefully, the project will soon be finished, and I can get back to normal with Navigating the Storms.
If you are facing stress, I hope you, too, have been able to de-stress.

Next week, we will be back to our regular schedule with a guest post by Meghan Villatoro, of Restore Amor, about mental illness and its effects on marriage.
Till then, have a relaxed week. Connected Carole

Good for you!! I hope you enjoyed some time off to de stress.
I did. Thanks.
Glad that you gave yourself that pass. It’s amazing the pressure we put on ourselves (let alone the pressure from outside sources). I sure appreciated your advice and understanding when I had to bow out on the guest post. Your understanding helped relieve the guilt and stress of not following through. I hope your project goes smoothly and you are able to also take some time for yourselves.
Thanks for the thoughts. I’m feeling better.
I love this idea for the fifth Friday! I am going to steal it after I am finished teaching. I did do this on our one snow day. I just relaxed and did what I wanted, not anything for anyone else:) I hope that your current project is finished soon.
Thanks. I’m a meticulous sort. So when planning, I made 1st Fridays time for guests to post, 2nd and 4th Fridays, I write a post, 3rd Fridays a time for fun. But what for 5th Fridays so I don’t leave people with nothing. So … whatever I want when the time comes. As to current project, there will be an announcement soon.
Sounds like you’ve got a lot on. I find it difficult keeping up with the basics with chronic illness, pain and fatigue, especially when losing so much time to sickness or migraines. When adding in blogging and other projects, it becomes overwhelming quite often for me but I’m awful at taking my own advice. I think you do incredibly well with all you do, and I’m glad you can heed a little of your own good advice by cutting this post short and focusing efforts elsewhere. I really hope that before too long you can take some proper down time to rest and recuperate. Sending gentle hugs.
Caz xx
Thanks for the thoughts. Hope you can find some relief soon.
