Today’s post is quite different as I’m trying something new.
I love pets, and I thought it would be fun to share pictures of our pets with each other. Okay, so I’m prejudiced about dogs, but I love cats too. And then there’s hamsters, birds, mice, and other pets. Please share with us, and make this fun for everyone.
I am using a new contact package, which I hope works.
Here are the instructions:

- When I receive it, I will upload the picture and information to this page.
I plan to check my email every hour or two for several days. So if you submit a form, keep an eye out to see when your pet’s info shows up here.

Virgil adopted us when his owners, neighbours we didn’t know, moved and left him behind. They’d never taken good care of him so I’d been looking after him here & there as a kitten before he officially adopted us. We are now his slaves & his has first dibs on the sofa, my bed and pretty much anything else that belongs to a hooman. I’ve bought him lots of his own things and various toys, but it’s like he’s far too sophisticated for such things and doesn’t know the meaning of the word ‘play’. He spends his time napping and he also doesn’t seem to know how to retract his claws, which my scratched up skin can attest to. But he can look cute when he wants to!

Lynn, John’s wife, has Jazzy for company while John and Sir Bentley are traveling.
Bentley accompanies John on his long-haul truck. Bentley recently had a small stroke; he mostly recovered. He still goes with John, with a little help.
Zero is so full of love. All he wants are hugs, cuddles and kisses. He has become best friends with one of our cats too. They curl up next to each other. He’s turning 3 soon and we’re so glad we rescued him. You can follow Dodge at https://painreaction.com
Oliver -AKA Ollie- was a Walmart puppy (he was given away for free in the parking lot). He was a fuzzy-faced terrier mutt. He loved butt scratches—so much so that he would move so that you could scratch just above his tail until he was out of reach. Then he’d circle around for the same thing all over again. He became a master at getting out of his kennel after his friend Brett died. He lived a good doggie 13 years.

I’m sorry about Tahoe. It must have been heartbreaking for your son and his wife when they had to give him up too but lucky you could give him a loving home. You don’t ‘get over’ the loss of a pet, I think it always hurts but you also get those beautiful memories that are worth their weight in gold 💜
And aww Dodge, it’s lovely when you read about cats & dogs becoming good friends. I’d love a dog (golden retriever, already named him Finn), but I don’t think my cat would take too kindly to having a big brother.

Aww this is a lovely idea! I’ll keep checking back in to see other furbabies – the golden retriever (Tahoe?) is gawwgeous, I bet he was a wonderful companion and friend.

Tahoe was very special dog. We inherited him from our son when his wife became allergic. We miss him greatly.
