- Jesus came at Christmas.
- I have physical challenges.
- Jesus enables me to endure and thrive.
- So, read about one example of Christmas and physically challenged people
What a connection! What a joy!
And the connections for me, are there for others, too!
My Story
As a child, our family celebrated Christmas complete with Christmas trees, decorations, and Santa Claus. However, our parents taught us from an early age that Christmas is the celebration of Jesus’ birth. Growing up, I learned about Jesus being the Son of God and about Easter. As an adult, I connected the cross of Easter and the manger of Christmas. Both are needed to understand Jesus: without Jesus' birth at Christmas, He couldn't have died for our sins at Easter.
My physical challenges began as a young adult. For the first few years, we believed they were temporary - albeit, a long-lasting temporary. After it became obvious the problems would be with me for life, this Jesus became the source of my strength. He offers me encouragement and enables me to thrive despite the difficulties.
