Announcing Big, Exciting Changes! Check Us Out!

Navigating the Storms expands, bringing big and exciting changes.

Big changes! That’s for sure!

Exciting! At least I hope you think so!

Coming in October!

For five years, I have posted every other Friday. Sometimes, it was written by a guest. Occasionally, I let you know I was unable to write and why. But mostly, these posts were mine. I would have enjoyed writing more, but my disabilities just did not allow me to do that. In fact, it has often been a challenge to write even that frequently.

However, now I’m in a position to improve the website’s offerings as Navigating the Storms expands its posts page.

Look for the differences to begin in October. Read on to see what these changes will entail.

New schedule

Connections through Computers
Connected to the World!
  • Guest Time will be the first Friday of each month, when a guest writer will post.
    • Sometimes, the subject may be information for dwellers or observers.
    • Other times, the writer may be a caregiver.
    • But, as always, the post will concern some aspect of living with invisible disabilities.
  • On the second and fourth Fridays will be Connected Carole Contributes where I will continue to write.
  • The third Friday will be Hodgepodge Day.
    • You will see an assortment of fun things.
    • It may be a collection of jokes or quotes.
    • Possibly, you might see a quiz or a questionnaire.
  • And then, there is a Whatever Moment—one of the four fifth Fridays in a year.
    • At this point, I have no idea what you might see then.

Be surprised each month.

Our October Guest Time will feature “The Staredown,” good thoughts for dwellers. In November, a long-haul trucker who has a wife dealing with various challenges will bring us his thoughts.

May dwellers, observers, and caregivers alike be encouraged by these new changes.

Check us out next month!

  1. Exciting changes! I really like this niche you’ve created. My son has Down syndrome, so his disability isn’t invisible, and it comes with a host of other challenges. I can imagine it must be very challenging to deal with something that no one else can see. Blessings to you as you minister in this space!

    • Thank you for your thoughts. The “invisible” part does make it harder to cope relationally and sometime medically. Blessings on your family and your son as he grows.
